One approach is to build a compiler for a small but useful part of the model space. For example, Fabrice Bellard's LibNC ( https://bellard.org/libnc ) handles transformers and LSTMs, but no convolutions. NN-512 ( https:&

I have been writing C for decades, but now I almost exclusively use Go. What I mean is that if you like C99, you will probably like Go. Go can be understood as a modernization of C that doesn't abandon C's simplicity but adds a fe

If you want a modern C, use Go. Unless you need maximum performance (SIMD, GPUs, etc.) you should use a developer-efficient, productive language. Well-written Go executes almost as fast as C, and you will be more productive as a programmer.

NN-512 ( https://NN-512.com ) is an example of using intrinsics instead of inline assembly for a performance-critical application, and getting very, very good code generation results from GCC.

The best approach is to generate custom code, with compile-time constant loop roll count and compile-time constant tail iteration count, like NN-512 ( https://NN-512.com ) does for almost every loop. Write your code generator in a
