I run a niche web app that has about 3000 unique visitors a week. People generally agree it's the best resource for its purpose and there was an article in one of the bigger local newspaper about it too. There are no ads or other shadi

Your comments in this thread are repetitive and totally devoid of content. The one above is a non sequitur that is unnecessarily aggressive. I think it is you not paying attention if you haven't noticed yet that Democrats and Republica

I did an Ask HN one time something along the lines of "how would you game the HN ranking algorithm?". It seems like good security practice IMO to have a discussion on what is publicly known / discernible about the ranking alg

No worries, the reason you're upvoted to the top is because many of us see bits of ourselves in you. I'm also of the opinion that many of us are capable of genius-level accomplishments, but it requires a confluence of mental and p

No need for the neighbors to report subversive activity when everyone is already self-reporting all this information online, both publicly and in not-so-private private communications.

It's actually pretty hard for legitimate patients to get opioids in many circumstances. My mother has chronic pain from a surgery and has been on a very low dose of oxycodone for years now (10mg a day, I think), and she regularly is su
