Yep, cats fight brutally all the time. My wife's old cat was a fighter and had the scars to prove it. No doubt he had killed many cats, and then he eventually succumbed to an infection from a nasty neck wound acquired in a fight.

Yep, I should have deleted this comment. This was something that I saw repeated often on the early Silk Road forums and I naively trusted it. Sorry.

The dose for Bromo-DragonFLY is still fortunately too large to fit on a 1/4 x 1/4 inch piece of blotter paper (EDIT: Actually, after looking into this a bit more, I'm not so sure about this statement. I'll defer to some

Absolutely true, and especially problematic because by their nature high-quality comments will take more time to formulate and therefore always be late to the party and get less visibility.

I always wonder how things would be if even half of the time invested in closed source had instead gone toward open source software. The open source ecosystem is already incredible, and IMO more capable in most cases than the closed source

Does seem like I spoke too soon, though the above link is not everything. I downloaded it and it's a CSV file with three fields -- a patent ID (I think), a date, and some other number. This however seems to be everything: https:/

Prime example of a government function that could benefit from the open source community. If all this patent data were dumped today, in whatever format it's stored in, I guarantee we'd be seeing a bunch of cool ShowHNs within days
