I've built my own and published it as open source. It is called http://www.kubero.dev and runs on kubernetes.

Yes. Cloudpirates seems to be the successor. Not all charts are available now, but it is growing fast. All charts are built with official images. So another rugg pull is way harder. https://github.com/CloudPirates-io/he

Hey HN, I’m Gianni and the creator of Kubero, an open-source PaaS. I've been working on it for the past 3 years and now I've just released version 3. The idea for Kubero was born during Heroku’s major outage in 2022, when I realiz

Not free, since you still need a Kubernetes somewhere. But at least 100% open-source and selfhostable. It covers most of Herokus features. https://docs.kubero.dev/comparison-heroku/

Nice analogy. But with ladder, you're just wearing a Google shirt and get invited.

Not sure about the paywalls. But it might be used for "drive by attacks" or phishing.

In deed it was. Sad it's gone. One single downside was the intransparency. It was not clear which code was added or removed on the site you where looking at.

Yes, the one i provide is still pretty empty yet. I plan to build one that can be used as a starting point or as a default.

Those were Paywall bypassing tools. 12ft.io was shut down one week ago and 1ft.io still works. But I feel a bit unconfident to let someone inject code to sites i view.

I did try 13ft. But it misses several points. The ladder applies custom rules to inject code. It basically modifies the origin website to remove the Paywall. It rewrites (most of) the links and assets in the origins HTML to avoid CORS Error
