Seems like one could block google's DNS servers -or perhaps even all DNS requests not destined for your pi-hole server in this example- on the router side and the Chromecast will fallback to what DHCP is providing.

I went so far as to set up Dnscrypt with a pi-hole setup recently and it was almost as painless as advertised. And it finally gave me something productive to do with my RPi3! https://github.com/pi-hole/pi-hole/wiki

This lines up with my understanding of the history as well. And actually, I found an article on phys.org that says to the contrary[0]! I was surprised myself. >Instead of burning methane (CH4), its molecular components, hydrogen (H2) and

Subprime leases at 50% more than the national average lease $/week. Seems pretty unethical to me; Companies lending to people who have no business borrowing money...reminds me of the 2007/08 mortgage crisis.

This [0] WP article says it passed the House Education and the Workforce committee, but the official bill tracking page [1] hasn't been updated yet, and is still being considered by two other committees. I read the text of HR 1313 [2]

That's basically what Natural Gas is. While it appears to burn the "cleanest" out of the fossil fuels, it still releases CO2 emmisions.

I do agree with reducing consumption in general, but less plastic per bottle certainly helps in this regard. I think drinking less or no "milk" (or any other drink) by itself is not a practical solution on its own.

From the final paragraph of the article: "If you could make a milk jug with 30 percent less material because it's mechanically better, think of the sustainability of that," he said. "You're using less plastic, less

Yes, the States were offered extra funding for adopting the Common Core. They were not forced to take it, but who doesn't want a few million dollars, right?

What exactly do you find wrong with Common Core standards? All I've seen against it are poorly-graded homework examples turned meme without proper context.

I really dislike these county maps. Darker color is shown as more fans, when in reality some of the largest, more intensely shaded counties have relatively few people in them. I believe it imparts a false impression of whatever the map is t

Naan being less healthy is a bit confusing to me as it is a fermented wheat bread, unlike the rotis/chapatis. The fermentation breaks down the gluten and other carbohydrates, making the wheat more digestible...
