You shouldn't measure by the release date of the hardware, but by the last sale date of the hardware. In Apple's list of supported Macs, the "iMac Pro (2017)" is the oldest year. But that computer was sold until 2021!

I'm not in Silicon Valley, perhaps that's the difference. Most programmers I know have about 1 QA (of the old school type described) per 5-10 programmers.

I used to love it. But in recent years, they only ever seem to make fun of Republican and rarely Democrats. I'd prefer to see them shit on everyone, because they all deserve it.

Yes, about 1050 €, but I said 'cheap enough' not 'cheap'. iPhone 15 Pro is about 1229 €. People buy those too.

For the same reasons anyone buys anything: it does what they need/want for cheap enough and good enough.

Seems this requires an AppleID. So is there no way to sideload without one?

Is Eigen still alive? There's been no release in 3 years, and no news about it: https://gitlab.com/libeigen/eigen/-/issues/2699

Its list of supported platforms lists 32 bit but not 64 bit. And it refers to C++0x not C++11. I presume the article is old. Is this software still developed?

>At that point, is it worth the time invested? Every new feature can take 2-3 times longer to deliver due to adding tests. Depends if you are writing software to control a pacemaker, or writing software for some silly smartphone game.
