I've never been able to play halo on a console, it feels far too inaccurate to me, now that I'm used to playing with a mouse.

Your point about choosing the things that matter is the pertinent sentence. Apple doesn't want to put any focus on game, as media streaming is the focus of the device. Consider the possibilities: 1) Apple implements amazing support

I'm willing to bet that the Apple TV has a very weak processor and a similarly weak graphics card, or none at all. Without those, you're limited to (essentially) angry birds, and other games that aren't really associated with

Well yes, as it's unlikely that another school would let him in (post 16 education is no longer compulsory), and as he says, if he'd been kicked out a year earlier it would have essentially forced him to forfeit his a-levels and t

The arch wiki is absolutely incredible. I don't know how they've got it so good, but for a reference of all the things that can be layered upon linux it's amazing.

Also, if there is some common code between the examples, include this near the start as scaffolding for the examples. This way the examples are leaner, yet still runnable.

The question mark doesn't even work for me (chrome linux), and no code is shown. [EDIT] My mistake, all you have to do is turn off https everywhere, or reload using http. Frustrating, but not 100% broken...

Sorry that I don't find references, in the middle of a tech article, to killing people in brutal, vicious ways all that appealing. Sure, I'll happily watch a slasher flick, but that's the time and the place for that. This is

mm, I agree with you there. I guess it's because sorts come up so much in a CS curriculum that they're considered to be magnificently important. In other words, they're just really handy bodies for imparting central ideas (

How will this "baffle normal people"? If by normal people you mean people who aren't data scientists, then sure, it will. It'll baffle them in the same way the bar exam will baffle "normal" people, those who ar

Why should the government decide what school is right for you? On the flip side, perhaps the government should refuse to provide loans for programmes without accreditation from a professional organisation?

C++ is a bad example. C itself is mindblowinly complex, and C++ layers more on top of that. A better example might be Python, or possibly Lua. Languages that have been designed, rather than grown organically, unlike C++/C/Javascri

But why a dedicated device? Why not just a JS -> ARM/AVR/whatever compiler? Then you can run it on microcontrollers that you can actually build up from. One of the best things about arduino is that it's based upon the ATMe
