I have to concur with the other poster here. You're not using the term in the usual way. Traditionally a game is called solved when its search space has been searched exhaustively or there is some other analytic solution that allows yo

I have a direct comparison, since I've been programming substantial amounts of code in both languages. I'd say that Go is much simpler in practice. Think about all those classical functional LISP exercises to recursively manipulat

It is not very good advice for creative writing either, though. The general advice given by agencies and professional authors is to write "to the final version" and roughly edit after every writing session or before the next one.

I often check the comments first to see if there is one as clear and concise as CJ's. Then I don't need to skim a lengthy article for the information I'm interested in - such as the answer to the question in the headline in t

Unlikely. Speaking for myself, I have decided to drop support for MacOS starting with Catalina. I might still provide an experimental built, but it's just too much of a pain in the ass to support the platform long-term. I've been

You mean trade-offs? The point is that every language and every implementation has them.

It's not just 64-bit though. There are also some fake-security "notarization" requirements that were notoriously vague and poorly documented for months, as well as some equally vague and unspecific threats that certain non-no

Great! I love this language, so simple and powerful, so fast executables! I hope I don't spoil the party by asking: What's the status of GUI bindings?

That was the main problem. The project was always based on a colonial and patronizing attitude. Don't give kids the real thing, so they can learn how to use Excel spreadsheet (some real CV item), but rather give them custom hardware

I'm a bit skeptical about this article. If you graph estimated species extinctions during the past 200 years instead of the estimated numbers of species for the past millions of years, then the current species extinction event does l

I would be surprised if that was true for PC games. Keyboard and mouse is vastly superior to any gamepad. Steering wheel and yoke beat keyboard and mouse for simulations, but that's a very specific use case.

If someone commits a mass killing with a gun, then it becomes a mass shooting. Frankly speaking, it's not clear what this thread is about. According to social constructivism, social reality might change by re-defining terms like "
