Smoking wasn't banned. It went away through awareness campaigns, higher taxes and banning it in restaurants. Things like that. Smokers didn't go to jail for smoking. Selling cigarettes wasn't banned.

Well, the first step would be to get both men and women disconnected from virtual stimuli like porn and social media. Satisfying ones sexual and emotional needs through the screen doesn't seem like a good thing if the goal is to make y

US federal historical government spending is an exponential growth graph. As are unfunded liabilities that politicians at some point promised to pay people. EU seems pretty much the same. More gov spending, more social spending. Repeat ad i

Liquidity coverage ratios EU vs. US: US has been stagnant for a decade, while EU has almost doubled. (Lobbyist casts money against government. It's very effective.)

I tried it. It's good for editing system configs on a Linux system through SSH. That's about it. A lot of people are trying to fit a square peg into a round hole. People also want to appear hip and cool, "hackery". Borin

From an outsider perspective the obvious goals to fix is health care, homelessness and housing. For some reason people jump into completely tangential things like UBI. America has both the strength and intelligence. Does it have the will? I

This seems to be the real issue. Not that if the judgement is incorrect or correct, but there is no real effort to even make judgements that aren't just generated by some simple script.

I have done non-trivial things both in Rust and Nim. For big projects Rust seems a little more robust, but for medium and small projects Nim is an order of magnitude faster to develop for. There are still many rough edges, but it's exa
