From zero to Microblaze inside PetaLinux is a couple of minutes of work (and some waiting around for it to compile) and has plenty of tutorials. nMigen SoC has a Github repo that is "TBD". Maybe I just didn't look deep enough

Machines that write believable stories can fabricate entire realities. The deepfake stuff is just a very small part of it. How much of the information we use to make our daily decisions on come from unverified sources on the internet? How m

1984, Brave New World, and now Fahrenheit 451. Reading these books as a kid I thought holy hell, what an awful place to live. Now they are all becoming true. It's weird.

Unfortunately, the library story is quite limited, so for me this doesn't really justify spending more than a day looking into. Currently using Nim, which has better library support. Maybe it's possible to cross-compile Nim/Z

In my opinion that (as a mainstream social narrative) is a false dilemma. The real division is between casual relationships and long relationships. The message I got as a young person is that casual sex should be celebrated and endorsed. Th

It's a form of laziness, the most common of human behaviors. Deny, avoid, delay, until you're absolutely forced to do what is uncomfortable or painful.

Why can't NFTs be done without a blockchain? Please explain. Just add multiple hash, public/private-key cryptography, downsample discrete cosine transform, etc. You can just create a file format and a protocol. Why do you need to

Only problem with this is I can't figure out how to spend all the money generated by the tax. Obviously it should be used at a technology or process to reduce carbon from the atmosphere, but I don't think that's what governme

I've heard composting PLA is pretty bad for the environment as it produces a lot of methane, which is much worse greenhouse gas compared to CO2. It also seems PLA doesn't degrade in landfills. It requires a built to purpose compos

I'm sure a person whose life is saved by being able to transfer his or her wealth across the border doesn't feel like a drop in the ocean.

Yes, it's wrong for people to use energy to make a profit. When the environmental externality is not priced in. There really should be a carbon tax.

I also had this exact same thought, but after watching GPT-2 be a dungeon master, as long as there's causal and temporal consistency, the AI can generate some surprising and funny story lines that humans normally can not. Stories don&#
