That feels a little reductionist. You’re paying for stuff like order tracking, customer service, easy tipping, a way to talk to the delivery driver, and a centralized place to choose stuff. I don’t think those things are worth the price any

I sort of agree with the overall sentiment of this (I oppose the death penalty for many reasons), but this does seem like a mild exaggeration. Less than 20 people get the death penalty per year in the US, and they are isolated in a few stat

Managers are not somehow exempt from this line of thinking. Firing someone is labor intensive for a manager and will actually reduce their power. No one wants to fire anyone, especially lately. This is clearly the result of corporations de

I really don’t understand the criticism of duolingo. No one who uses it thinks of it as teaching fluency but the criticisms always seems to frame it that way. It’s an enjoyable app to help you get the basics of a new language. I’ve seen it

I think a significant part of teaching is people management, then the actual teaching comes second. This might actually help teachers do things like create lesson plans. I think the challenge is the other way. Going to be really hard to gra

I like your general sentiment and I live my life the same way, but I think it’s hard to change someone’s behavior from childhood, especially if they have been raised in a nutritional environment more fit for veal than human beings. Really h

You’re not naive. Most of the office space (fidi and the eastern areas of soma) are completely fine. Pretty much the same as any city. Things only get worse when you go south and west. The offices are empty because of remote work, not crime
