Do you own or rent ? You can make a case to your building governing body to have them installed. There are solutions designed for this and operate off common area energy and bill at on a cost only basis.

Why is rooftop solar more expensive? Mounting structure is there, grid supply is there, no issues with weeds/grasses, generally up in the air etc. Rooftops are unused space.

Absolutely I don't know the price of bunker fuel off hand so I googled it. Are you saying you think that the price of fuel has dropped in the 4 years ? Because looking at the oil market that seems unlikely. No argument on the pollution

I don’t understand these articles. There’s so much hand wringing and the implication is that we’ve failed as a species. The solution hinted at seems to be ditch all technology, transport and modern methods and go back to pre-industrialised

We did this a bit at a previous workplace. Essentially sending out a formal offer letter involved a lot of HR, approval meetings and exec sign offs. If the person wasn't interested there was no point in going to the effort. Just corpor

Garmin doesn’t operate a satellite network. They produce devices and on sell subscriptions to other satellite services. This won’t really impact them at all. They could pivot to use another network if it becomes more feasible.

Yes....and no. Lettuce likes some pretty specific conditions. If there's one area that's perfectly suited to growing lettuce with the minimum resources (fertiliser/water etc) then grow it there. Better than trying to grow it
