I am not aware that I claimed any place would have completely open border. I am certain that you know what I am referring to, but want to avoid a serious discussion by playing with technicalities. No thanks.

UBI could be possible in a closed society, but not if you are open for uncontrolled influx of people from outside your society. Because the offer "get free money" is just too good. There was the choice what to focus on, and we dec

On the contrary. Don't be distracted all the time starring at the IM icon. When working, ignore the icon until you are done. Talk it through with managers in case they don't know how focused work works. If there is really somethin

People put in solitary confinement simply should NOT be put in solitary confinement. Period. Making the prison conditions inhumane and then tell the prisoner "here's a rope", is just beyond sick.

I agree. Changing human behavior/culture is more expensive, takes more time, and is less likely to succeed. I disagree on the foil pieces in orbit. Sure, that would be much easier than a single piece. But it would be impossible to corr

Yes, so if you burn methane that already exists, you produce an equal amount of CO2. Climate change neutral.

Let me reword that: it's do-able with current technology and at an affordable cost. Such a solar sail can be extremely thin, just needs to be reflective. So even hundreds of square km of surface are manageable.

Methane is a "greenhouse gas" itself, worse than co2. Mostly a problems from cattle digesting food. So burning it actually reduces climate change.

Stopping climate change isn't even hard, just place a large solar sail on a sun synchronous orbit to block part of the sun's energy from reaching Earth.

I just wonder how this works upstream. Don't the banks also owe that money to somebody? After all, value isn't just money, it's money plus time.

Low Earth Orbit has an altitude UP TO 2000 km. The ISS for example is at about 400 km. If they placed their sat at 100 km (right at the limits of "space") maybe it would be possible to be in range of a cell phone.
