Did you know that in most of the US it's illegal to build anything other than car-dependent single family suburbs? For many top US cities over 70% of the land is zoned _exclusively for car-dependent detached single family homes_. Many

I'm glad to see this finally gaining a little bit of traction. The linked posts in the article don't even include the latest horror story from Reddit (which I guess may have been posted after the article was finalized): https:&#x

I've pre-ordered two phones and watches after anticipating this launch for a while. Now I'm strongly considering cancelling based on the ongoing issue with Pixels failing to connect to emergency services. This thread has multiple

I'm such a big fan of the Pixel experience that I've been letting myself rationalize my plan to stick with it by planning to preorder (tomorrow) the new Pixel Watch. I tell myself that surely _one_ of my Pixel devices would be abl

Tomorrow is the launch of the Pixel 7 series and another report has popped up on Reddit about a Pixel 6 failing to connect on an emergency call. There have been multiple reports of this issue this year, long after the issue caused by Micros

Sad but not surprised about the negativity from some comments here. So many complaints about monetization and pointing out how it's not a perfect just-like-the-movies lightsaber. I enjoyed the video and thought it was awesome. With jus

It's been amazing. I was able to build a much nicer app in a much shorter time than in my previous attempts to build Go Budget natively, and the performance is indistinguishable from native (imo). I also found the framework itself to h

I created a simple manual budgeting app with flutter called Go Budget, which is primarily optimized for entering purchases as easily as possible, but also provides income and bill tracking/reminders and a savings goal tracker. It is cu

Late response but, to Tesla's (slight) credit, they now advertise the performance (with 20" wheels) at 299 miles, and that's in comparison to the 2020 improvements that bumped the advertised range for LR AWD to 322 miles (fro

Second this - always surprised by the skepticism towards Tesla. As you say, they are continuing to push the limits of range and performance despite no other EVs having caught up. As far as I'm concerned, Tesla wouldn't be selling

Assuming you have the 20 inch performance wheels (and the Pilot 4S summer tires that come with them), those could be the difference between you getting 325Wh/mi and something more in line with 250-275 at 70mph. Here's a chart with

Yes Android in general has improved a lot in the last 3 years (imo). What drove me to Flutter was not having enough time to do both Android and iOS. I've also found doing animations and prototyping with UI ideas to be much much easier

I've only done some light dabbling with JS (jQuery, Angular, and a few react/Vue tutorials), and I'm not much of a fan. Flutter, however, has been awesome. I'm actually putting the final touches on a project I've bu
