I think it's a misconception that safe handling of input will always cost performance. For Stockfish, I imagine the performance critical part is analysis, where input should already have been parsed.

I imagine this is perfect for climate change deniers. Climate change is very difficult to fight because both undershooting and overshooting your predictions can come back and hurt you.

Yes. It basically turns a reverse engineering task back into regular "forward" engineering, except you are programming with z3's symbolic variables. Here is an example: https://anee.me/solving-a-simple-crackme

Here is my speculation: you cannot fit enough archers in the relatively small area from where they can still shoot at the same target and cover a significant portion of the sky with their arrows.
