Some people say that C isn't low-level (though I disagree). I personally don't think of C# as even remotely low-level.

C is a language where you're expected to know what you're doing. While it wasn't necessarily right in this case, it's assumed that the generated assembly should match the intent of what you gave it.

I really wish it were possible to do this kind of thing on smartphones. Unfortunately, odds are that anything you try will quickly brick it, and best-case scenario you can restore it using something like the low-level Broadcom interface

My province in Canada had a program for some substantial (I think it was 30%) bursary for university. The thing is that it wasn't based off of what you pay, but rather that percentage off of a specified rate. It was about to 1/6 o

A lion wants to eat. It's not murder, it's feeding. Putting a cow in a field of grass is no different than putting a lion in a field of cow.

How do other species live in harmony? Ever listed to the into scene in lion king? We're just animals who got smarter. It's part of the "harmony" you speak of for animals to eat other animal.

You're completely ignoring the justification given, and it's a lot more difficult to translate the full situation to your analogy.

I'd say it's got both. It's extremely complex, but it does what it needs so cleanly. I'd argue that it's extraordinarily elegant.

If that was a human driver, it's very likely that the result would have been the same.

I've been using KeeFox (now Kee) and I like it. It's not perfect, but it works well with KeePass. That, along with Dropbox syncing, and the app Keepass2Android make it my preferred method for password management.

They are doing that, with the whole Firefox Quantum thing. I see no need to mention less RAM utilization now given that they reference Quantum. These aren't meant as an advertisement, they are giving the changes since the last update,

Although I understand why they would have done that for click-bait news outlets, it did really bother me that they were so slow in revealing what happened. What I like about SpaceX is that they're always been very open about their fail

It's not quite that simple. So many factors, as well as random chance, affect the quantity of TEA/TEB used that it's virtually impossible to create an accurate prediction. Other comments in this thread mention that they could

That's not at all a mistake. Any sort of overshoot is extremely unlikely to occur with these situations. The public plan was to put it into an orbit around the sun with the perihelion near Earth's orbit and its aphelion near Mars&

All my other "real" points have been covered by other users, but one other thing that SpaceX is doing is making space cool again. I've always found it interesting, and the launch vehicles technically incredible, but (as a uni

I just want to thank you for posting this over here, I've been looking for something like this. I need something where I can develop and understand code as I go, so not a completed system, but that also provides final code so I can hav

Another consideration is power usage in data centers. Server power usage is annoyingly complex, and once you get above 70% utilization power usage may go up considerably.
