Last I checked every business involves at least one customer if it's going to survive. Maintaining lists of "funny" customer names is inherently related to the business.

I don't see the purpose of this. A phone which authenticates me based on my face or fingerprint and provides a signed request to the terminal is far superior in privacy and security. I never see the point in moving biometric authentica

You can sync a set of collections in a library with CC to get the best of both worlds. I still prefer Classic.

The primary reason for me is that Postgres has stronger default constraints. If you care about keeping your data logically consistent then Postgres has more of that out of the box. SQLite just makes the tradeoff to be simpler since often it

Wish this were easier to download since it's more common to use Brew now. Very excited at the idea of having fast fuzzy switching of tabs. I wish more things operated like that.

How does it not look great on mobile? It simplifies the number of options and simplifies the navigation accounting for the fact that mobile devices would require lots of scrolling on a tiny screen to see as much as you could on the desktop.

I agree with the idea that old computers and OSes might still be useful and that they have a lot of ideas we simply don't even get to experience today. However the final points of learning to accept that general purpose computing isn&#

I feel like if you have an AMI you don't need docker. If you have docker you don't need a new AMI each time. For me it's about knowing "what is running." If I can get a binary, docker image, or AMI that lets me know

A lot of conversations around privacy and using encryption would be much easier if those in the conversation understood just how simple and permissionless it is to snoop information and become way more knowledgeable about someone than you s

Decent can still be pretty bad and still work. And of course it's worth it because a phone can find/lose it's connection all the time for a bunch of reasons even if the network is high quality and high bandwidth.

My issue is I want to open a "voice shell". I want the same obvious commands but with more rapid responses and without needing to say "Hey Siri, X" every time. There should be a natural way to enter a mode where the back

The first one to support a "conversation" even if with same level of intelligence and understanding today will be a MASSIVE improvement. If it would listen while talking so you can interrupt it. Would be so much more useful.

Recently made my first PR to nixpkgs. Definitely looking to see what it takes to manage more *.apps using only Nix. Luckily this is much less of an issue on my NixOS desktop or EC2 instances.

Brew is great. I’ve switched to using Nix as much as I could but most “Apps” aren’t supported yet where `brew install —cask` has it right away. Always nice to know Brew will always have the latest version around. The only problem with that

If you want to get in to Nix I think two important things to note: 1. Nix is not a "package manager" and I think it's better at first to not think of it as one because you'll assume how it works incorrectly. It is a pa
