That's irrelevant. Questions was why people assume somthing, and answer is because that's how it advertised. To be clear that's not what I'm thinking, even Fable 5 produces some hilariously bad results under some conditi

The point is a realease every N years with overlapping year(s) of support is too fast for some?

I'd go as far as ask "what is your IDE of choice?" during the interview and rejected candidates that answer VSCode and VSCode clones. Now it doesn't matter because of LLMs though.

I don't notice it because, agent running in full-auto until there is a PR to review or decisions to make. If I wanted to go step-by-step, I'd write code myself with LLM auto-complete. I only leave meta-comments in if its actually

i had media center powered by a few perl script that would transcode all videos into formats that ps3 supported in 2007-ish. Yes ffmpeg had a lot of options, 99% of them does not matter, there really only 3 ways to stream to client: as is,

Very little quality, let alone high-quality, code is written in VSCode.

Same, but all the exams I ever took mostly tested your memory more than anything else. I don't think it's possible to test people at scale any other way.

I recently picked up R9700 to run Qwen 3.8-27B. 1) I have knowledge DB that I query, spend a lot of time to get "query N models, stream to me all N results, let me pick which one" - only to find out that qwen beat all other conten

Sure, Apple positions SwiftUI as its primary forward-looking UI framework, but AppKit and UIKit still developed and have access to all API that SwiftUI has.

Carbon was released in 2000 and final release was in 2019. Cocoa, correct me if I'm wrong, was released in 2005. That's 14 years to learn it. Not like you knew Carbon when Cocoa came out because there were like 10 developers makin

There were 4 (four) major versions of GTK since 1998. You're telling me that rate is faster than you can learn? Maybe you just a slow learner.

LSP diagnostics is actually what made me switch from compile time check queries. Whole "is db up? are migrations applied?" dance tired me pretty quickly. Its fine if you use sqlite, but anything else gets annoying.

Forgejo is pretty neat. Their CI story is sad because it's based on act and it lacks features like GH Apps so service accounts are not possible (using a user account as service is barf). I self-host it and its pretty easy to have upti

sqlx offline mode being opt-in instead of default is what bothers me. You know what else can validate that your queries return what you expect? Integration tests. Shoutout to sqlx for #[sqlx::test] though.

build.rs changes nothing about how easy it is to integrate with C. What does simplify: figuring out how to supply library you need at build time. Which is the result of how bad dependency managment is outside (i.e. DLL-hell). Pretty much al

Kinda my problem with that label: you have no idea what's it about when you see that label. The spectrum of what got that label is so broad that it's not very useful IMO. Coffee specifically used require Prop65 warning because it
