Man, I miss that. Every PC build and benchmarking youtuber always went out of their way to keep that meme alive, even as it became increasingly irrelevant. Don't think I've seen anyone mention the phrase in years. :(

Went to college around the area and worked for some of the tribes up there. Very interesting... mystery or something, I remember the the news around the 2019/2021 incidents.

I find it strange because it seems to me that outside of their bread and butter products (Kagi Search, Assistant), there really isn't a business secret or proprietary technology to keep secret no? Perhaps integrated browser LLM tooling

Every colo I've visited has a system for allowing physical access for our equipment, generally during specific operating hours with secure access card.

I received the same prompt from a Windows 11 machine at work. This probably has nothing to do with Tor or Linux, but their Cloudflare settings.

An unmarked car pulls alongside you, all men are masked inside and the windows tinted. You're ready to fight back or run, but then it turns out it's the police attempting to harass and bully you. Wonderful.

You have two options. Colo if you still want physical access to your devices, or cloud, where you get access to nothing beyond some online portals.

As the other guy pointed out, you would 100% experience the same issues if Signal was a web app. You're deleting your encryption keys. They have to be stored somewhere. You want private keys on the public server?

I'm in my early twenties. I only really associate this dithering with comic books, not C64s (much before my time, i've seen one in a tech museum lol)

Self hosting experience went well, but it was very confusing for people moving from Discord about a year ago. If it's still the same, there's literally no way to simply send a registration or channel invite link to someone, and ha

Why is it dithered like this? To save bandwidth? I wasn't on the internet much before 2010, so maybe this is an old technique you don't see anymore.

Bazzite is advertised for gamers, however from my understanding it's just Fedora Atomic wrapped up to work well on steamdeck adjacent hardware and gaming is a top priority. You'd still be receiving the same level of quality you w

I vaguely remember reading when this occurred. It was very recent no? Last few years for sure. > The Linux kernel began transitioning to EEVDF in version 6.6 (as a new option in 2024), moving away from the earlier Completely Fair Schedul

Good knowledge here, was unaware of this feature of the app. Would there be any case of the app defaulting to the wireguard kernel module if it's not included by any OEM Android release? I would assume that means most users are actuall

Pixel 6 here. Vanilla wireguard app. It sucks the life out of my phone and nearly halves the already half-life battery (thanks Google for your crappy OEM producers!)

My fingerprint worked out of the box on Linux Mint, as did NVIDIA Prime with the mobile 3080. Hibernation is historically (and still is) the main issue in linux land for me. * And I believe those hibernation issues are related to corrupted

Let me know when you can get a Dell XPS 13 (2024/25) working with FreeBSD out of the box without the need to hunt documentation down for the following. - audio - wifi - biometrics - GPU drivers that work well.

I didn't read much past their headline and blurb, but I don't think they're aiming to compete with normal browsers. This seems like a Selenium situation but with AI integration on top.
