If you mean that there are times systemd has a critical bug; sure the same way x11, kernel modules or drivers have critical bugs are annoying. You can always point to where I said you are a neckbeard, so I do not get the "hard time&quo

To this day I have not found a single modern argument against systemd that is a technical one (I tried systemd but it does not support x which openrc does), instead it's these vague bike shed arguments (Unix philosophy, anti-centraliza

No it doesn't because it's member states not the commission push banners. Which is thanks to the same member states for pushing the EU to have the council in the first place.

Who is the elite here? The people nominated for the commission is by the national government of said country if anything blame the countries picking such self serving citizens to be part of the commission.

You also have a right to become homeless, doesn't suddenly mean you're prospering. On top of this, do you think legal migrants are equal to your fellow country men? Why else the need for this non sequitur?

Which is why most countries have border guard agency? It's kind of obvious that borders are not a physical phenomenon but a social construct.

What does this have to do with the article? And if religion is proving anything then it's that naivety is running alarmingly high as the absurd amount of grifting and deliberate misinterpretation is growing.

Nope, the key difference is the blast radius, with hn you might buy into very specific policies related to tech while on TikTok you can be exposed to seemingly endless directions even though you just wanted to watch tech.

>Yeah, like how hn has an algorithm that ranks stories to maximise engagement... obviously this is not bad but somehow tiktok is bad When hn pushes 99% content other than tech then yes. It'll literally be the same.

I doubt it, if Linux can consistently prove to be more performant and easy to use compared to windows and have decent marketshare, it will see adoption by serious game studios. Sure it might take at least 20 years I assume. But definitely a

What excites me is that the kernel gets better not only for windows games but can also get benefits that can be more general purpose, such as what the article writes about: program able to wait for multiple events at once. It will be intere

That's the point? Social media is simply share x thing with either the world or a group of people or an individual. The issue is when that is manipulated into you need to spend more time on them artificially.

It's only 'lost the plot' if we still believe in the false narrative of cyber libertarianism. There is potential harm in us doing regulation but there is also benefits thinking it's this binary option of free VS slavery
