I daily drive asahi on a mac mini m1 - everything I need to build my music, podcasts, code, and yt videos[1] works great. The raspberry pi has given us 10 years of warm-up for ARM compatibility. [1] eg https://www.youtube.com

This is it - nothing beats my asahi m1 air on anything: price, battery life, desktop cpu grunt, no throttling either thermally or on battery. I can't believe the best arm machine is made by Apple, 3 years on. Eventually we'll have

Rust's 'one-size-fits-all' approach and the 'rewrite it in rust' movement are due to the language's high-level flexibility whilst also being as low-level as C. If you set out to write a new language in Rust, to

This seems like classic DDOS symptoms, right? It's not that the documents are gone, they're inaccessible.

You're too kind! I'm just using a Rode Procaster in an extremely cluttered room XD However, I don't recommend the setup, I tested an SM58 and the damn thing sounds IDENTICAL, but 1/4 the price! The trick is to speak very

WONDERFUL! That's literally my ENTIRE goal with the rust series - to just get people over the initial learning curve. It's not INCOMPREHENSIBLE, but you have to know in your BONES why you are putting in the work!

I'm so pleased! That video is based on an article from fasterthanli.me - Amos writes SUCH high-quality articles, I asked his permission to base that video on his "A Half-Hour To Learn Rust" post. Certainly worth clicking arou

More recently (March of this year) I also started to teach what I can about coding on my YouTube channel ( https://www.youtube.com/c/NoBoilerplate ) Which has seen enormous positive feedback - and youtube ads are very fa

Coding pairs well and elevates many other side-hustles, I think. Nearly every job can benefits from automation, and if it can't, then the logical thinking that coding requires will improve it in some way. I paired coding with fiction w

We don't need Rust frameworks that act like javascript. As others have said, this doesn't seem to add more to Axum, in fact, it seems to remove features? I dig poem-openapi, personally.

There will never be a Rust 2.0 for this reason. Perfect backwards compatibility is guaranteed forever. (New code can use new features using the "editions" system)

Have you tried Rust? It checks a great deal of your boxes, don't be misled by the reputation of a "systems programming language"! I made a video explaining why rust is different here, if you're interested https:/&#

I feel like something like this could be incubated INSIDE Rust. Look at this tiny proof-of-concept lisp in a rust macro: https://crates.io/crates/macro_lisp - Full LSP support (because rust macros have full LSP support
