I'm sure that a lot of the people you're describing as "stupid" here would love to know about the true inspiration behind the building style. Maybe this is an opportunity to share information, rather than to lament the u

I think it's important to point out that even extremely intelligent and talented individuals can lack critical scepticism when deciding to follow a leader or stay with a particular project. I've seen so much human energy and engin

I think this is perhaps one factor that feeds into the "reality distortion field" I have seen around particular leaders. You don't feel like they're trying to goad you into seeing it their way, you just sort of naturally

My old work ran 6 FFF machines, the only one that seemed to have 100% uptime was the Prusa. Mind you this was several years ago, before Bambu hit it big. But we had several machines with autoswap beds etc, fancy stuff. After that experience

In the abstract yes but in practice the economic (ratio of cost of pilot to pax miles) and safety context of aviation mean fully autonomous flying has to be extremely robust before it has actual utility in industry.

I've read it probably four times over the decades, most recently this year. I think I more or less have a handle on the story now, but after the first read I remember having been sort of confused.

This was close to my first thought as well. I don't think we're far enough along the LLM adoption curve to actually know how it will affect the business case and thus employment long term. In the last couple of years of LLM/A

This is why I qualified my experience with being 'occasional.' Basically I do long distance bike races where you're biking for like 18+ hours a day for 2-6 days depending on event. It's an insane thing to do and an insan

Your contention regarding diet and out-exercising surplus is generally true but not universal. I am occasionally at one extreme, where for a week or so I'll be expending 7000kcal/day and it's physically impossible to replace
