I think people assume that because the actual contents of the media are basically identical, that the physical and digital/streamed media are functionally equivalent, but they offer very different experiences. You have a really awesome

I love so much. It really encapsulates what I've been feeling about tech and life generally. Society and especially tech seems so efficiency minded that I feel like a crazy person for going to do my groceries at the store sometimes.

The very first time I rode a Jump bike in SF with the front wheel motor assist, I immediately ate shit and crashed as I crossed some railroad tracks. It turns out there are some downsides to having the motor in front, in this case the motor

I love tech like this. You put it on and it just does its thing. My HR monitor is like that, although if the receiving device doesn't immediately pair, it can be frustrating figuring out what's gone wrong.

The only thing I regret getting rid of is books. I've moved many times and thinned my shelves severely each time. In retrospect I realize that I often want to refer back to them or show someone else something I had read. That being sai

Interesting but the brief doesn't explain what 4-D printing is, which sort of reduces whatever technique they used to a cheap buzzword. If I was less lazy I'd read the cites and report back, but alas, sloth. Edit: OK, I've do

I learned a while back that Miercoles is a minced oath in Spanish. As in, you start to say the other thing that starts with Mier--, make eye contact with a child, and say the other thing.

I've been using a Prusa Mk2 for years no with no real issues. Doesn't have the bells and whistles but it does, like, consistently work. Eventually I'll get a used FormLabs setup. Once I have a shop space set up.

It's not a good indicator that they won't spend money either. These people have a different idea of what's worthwhile, and often times indicating status through clothing is not something they see a ton of signal in.

I know at least one millionaire who seem to own maximum one pair of pants that doesn't have holes in it. Especially in tech, it can be hard to tell. The one conversation I had with a FAANG CEO, he was wearing athletic clothes, as if
