For anyone who might want to buy that - it’s a horrible craft to use for anything but in a lab environment set up with a motion tracking system (you won’t be able to do indoor navigation using just the IMU and barometer) - using PCB as fram

Arducopter has auto-tune (no ML, though). BF flies great out of the box, and there are presets for most popular types/sizes. Oh, and I don’t think they have devs on their team who are experienced in ML to the point of writing that code

The only advantage of PX4 is its license - it’s BSD vs Ardupilot’s GPL, so companies can use the code without giving back. The mindshare just isn’t there - PX4 is orders of magnitude more obscure, so instead of YouTube tutorials you’ll be t

Is there anything here to train for? The initial collision wasn't in any way Cruise vehicle's fault; but the subsequent repositioning shows their procedures and sensor coverage are lacking. Oh, and their integrity.

Here’s [1] an article claiming Apple revokes Apple TV+ trial access as soon as the auto-renewal is canceled. [1] https://www.theverge.com/2019/11/1/20943286/apple-tv-plus-fr...

But the alternative is someone who's an embedded expert comparing MCUs you can't buy in quantities less than 10K or get hands on a data sheet without your company ordering a million and signing an NDA :)

I think the real game changer is using consumer smartphone grade SoCs for visual based nav+target guidance. The same $500 drone that can navigate through a GNSS denied environment and target a person, that's scarier than manually flyin

All of those outcomes are already accessible by fat fingering the existing UI. Oven won’t burn your house down, most modern ones will turn off after some preset time, but otherwise you’re just going to overpay for electricity or need to rep

Any model newer than iPhone X (XR/XS and up). It's a Facetime exclusive, though - no API so other videoconferencing apps can't use that.

DJI ate them for breakfast, turns out a single better implemented feature doesn't make a competitive product (or even a survivable niche, apparently). At ~800g AUW, sub-250g requirements just put the nail in the coffin - the avoidance

Nope. Consumed power is voltage*amperage, and it’s constant, so 4x more voltage means 1/4 the amps. Wire heating is I squared R, so with both I reduced and R increased the losses are just 1/4, not 1/16 of the 12V system. Beca

It's the EMI shield coupling inside the power supply, see [0]. Shouldn't happen with properly grounded chargers (but the charger in question is probably two-pronged without a ground pin, like the majority of chargers). [0] https:

Yeah but China also has its own self driving cars, and Baidu already operates a taxi service without safety drivers in multiple cities. I guess it’s not a dichotomy between driverless and mass transit..

One more thing to think about: some layouts don't have Latin letters. So if you switch from English to Ukrainian, you'd lose all your keybindings with the approach requested in the ticket..

If you discharge the battery first it won’t catch on fire if you puncture or overheat it.. so, don’t replace a fully charged battery and you should be fine.
