For me (London) it looks like I could get a latency of 28ms if I hosted my rig in their Dublin datacenter, which sounds OK. (But obviously this would be on top of the ping to the multiplayer host, if you're playing online.)
- lifeformed 11y agoAlso, this would be input latency, which is much more significant of a drawback than normal in-game network latency.
- scott_karana 11y agoWell, for multiplayer, at least the EC2 machine would have a reasonable ping with the other players, it would just be display/input latency.
- comex 11y agoAccording to that site, I can't get less than 44ms with Amazon where I live... This site has a much larger number of providers: http://cloudharmony.com/speedtest-latency-for-compute-limit-10m http://cloudharmony.com/speedtest-latency-for-compute-limit-... But of course most of them don't offer GPU servers.
