  The trouble is only for developers of native Android app. Not intended, but arguably Google may benefit even more with mess of compatibility problem because eventually only mobile web works across Android phones.

  it needs native profile emulation. say a specific application is designed to run 480x320. any higher res device would be able to run it by upscaling its output to fit its larger screen. your device would then be only able to run profiles (and applications that can run on those specific profiles) that actually fit your device specs
