Since I have seen this submission many times I consider it as spam.
- seanmcdirmid 12y agoYou are just abusing flag then. It is obviously not SPAM in how most of us understand the term.
- readerrrr 12y agoYou are just abusing flag then. I'm using it correctly as per guidelines. It is obviously not SPAM in how most of us understand the term. Us. Did you conduct a pool of some sorts; are you a representative of a large group of people?
- seanmcdirmid 12y agoNo you are not, and perhaps you aren't a native English speaker, but it is easy enough to just use the wiki: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spam_(electronic) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spam_(electronic) > Electronic spamming is the use of electronic messaging systems to send unsolicited messages (spam), especially advertising, indiscriminately. Someone submits a link to Wolfram's NKOS, how do they fit the definition of a spammer above? Or perhaps you meant forum SPAM: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Forum_spam http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Forum_spam > Forum spam consists of posts on Internet forums that contains related or unrelated advertisements, links to malicious websites, and abusive or otherwise unwanted information. Forum spam is usually posted onto message boards by automated spambots or manually with unscrupulous intentions with one idea in mind: to get the spam in front of readers who would not otherwise have anything to do with it intentionally. So I guess you could say this is "unwanted information" by every reader of hackernews. I think that is a big assumption, and anyways, not upvoting it is sufficient to make the article disappear. What are you worried about? If people upvote it, then you'll have to see it on the front page and many hackernews viewers will corrupted by Wolfram's ego? Well, thank you for using flag to save us based on your good taste.
- readerrrr 12y agoYour post is full of logical fallacies and assumptions. I have explained my actions adequately and will not respond to you anymore.
