Agreed, San Francisco is probably the worst place to be if you want to bootstrap.
- rjurney 12y agoI don't think so. There are so many early adopter, visionary customers here you can sign up on spec to pay you to develop your product.

- kasey_junk 12y agoOff the top of my head: large banks, insurance companies, automotive, military contracting, commodity agriculture & energy. [Edit] Actually, this made me think, what precisely is in the bay area that I'd want to target. The obvious answer is companies whose major priorities are VC and/or other acquisition events and the ecosystem they create.
