Recent Chinese and Indian immigrants (probably true for other Asian countries too) tend to be either wealthy or highly educated, due to stability of the region and changes in immigration policy.
- seanmcdirmid 12y agoWe are still taking in Asian refugees from where there are still many conflicts and instability. According to [1], we took in 19,000 refugees from East Asia (I'm betting mostly southeast), 35,000 refugees from the Near East/South Asia, 2,000 from Europe and Central Asia (why they clump those together...weird).
