Does anyone know how this differs from the seeds already available through developer.apple.com?

  You need to be a paying OS X dev member to access the seeds on developer.apple.com.

    I think what OP meant was if there was a difference in the content of the beta programs.

      Same seed and arguably easier to install (assuming you're using your primary system and not a machine dedicated to betas).
