Is Spotify cost prohibitive with Australian mobile data plans though? I know with the amount of music I listen to, my plan would be quickly reached if I swapped to Spotify instead of my local music.
Also, the network availability (especially on train networks) where I'm generally listening to music probably means that my song is going to cut out.
Around the house, Spotify is great (or an alternative like the just launched iTunes Radio) but out and about I still think there's a big market for local music files.
- ollysb 13y agoAs long as you sync the songs first you don't need an internet connection to use spotify on the move.
- ajtaylor 13y agoThe solution is downloaded playlists. It's annoying because you can't download an album, but have to make a playlist instead. It does work great though.
- harmegido 13y agoYeah it's not a huge deal. I've actually found Australian mobile (along with golf courses) to be one of the few things that compare favorably to the US in terms of price. And like the other poster said, you can just mark your playlists to be offline and they will download/update whenever you hook up to wifi.
