I believe both Tassimo and the "Nespresso" already have DRM, although they pitch it under the premise that it's a coded system for the perfect brew.
So in many ways the Keurig is late to the party.

- DanHulton 13y agoPretty sure the Nespresso ones don't. Source: I own one at home and we have one in the office and they haven't got any barcodes on any of the capsules. Heck, it'll run without any capsule at all. Tassimo does, though.
