- nav1 13y ago> 1) Device testing without a dev account or jailbreaking. I wish they would let users install their applications without a dev account. I really don't want to pay $90 just to be able to do that. Being able to sell your apps on the App Store would justify the price, but otherwise it's quite unreasonable.
- jarjoura 13y agoWell I guess in theory since you could build clang/llvm for Windows and Linux you could build the iOS cross-compiler toolset. The code-signing (not sure if that one is open sourced already for OS X) would need to be ported. App installation could work over https similar to TestFlight. SO yeah, lots of missing pieces in there too I'm sure, but doesn't seem impossible if you're feeling up to the challenge.
- jevinskie 13y agoYes, build your own clang and extract the SDKs (headers + libraries) from the Xcode DMG. You can use (or at least you used to be able to) maloader [0] to run codesign. [0]: https://github.com/shinh/maloader https://github.com/shinh/maloader
