The Mac Pro is a very modular computer. The only thing set is the Cooling, Power and Case. Everything else is Modular:
* Graphic Cards
* Storage
* Ram
* CPU - In the form of the entire motherboard but that has always been Apple's approach
Everything else lives outside the box and is super modular.

- wmf 13y agoThose "modules" are proprietary form factors that you cannot buy and Apple won't support any modification other than adding RAM.
