  Group thinking is not bad, as long as we're defining group : (small) set of people with lot of common characteristics, goals (if applicable). The opposite of the "mass" which usually is a large set of people whom highest common denominator is to be human. The question is whether HN can be considered a group or a small mass =) Plus you have to keep in mind the average pov will be biased in a different way than let's say marketing101.net.
