This is absolutely perverse and unsustainable. I don't know what "fixes" this - a massive correction in tech wages? Another recession? Not sure.

  I thought this way too, then I moved to London and took around and European real estate, and now I think maybe it's just the future.

      Yes. Most people rent flats also, and it works fairly well.
