Is it possible that false positives like this open Google to defamation lawsuits? They're making an assertion that is false (and that their webmaster tools show they know to be false), and broadcasting that in a way that definitely has a financial impact on the businesses involved.
- softmodeling 13y agoGood point. I don't have the knowledge to answer this but what is true beyond any doubt is that a false statement like this causes financial damage to the site
