- pskomoroch 18y agoreserved instances: http://aws.amazon.com/about-aws/whats-new/2009/03/12/amazon-ec2-introduces-reserved-instances/ http://aws.amazon.com/about-aws/whats-new/2009/03/12/amazon-...
- dmix 18y agoFrom the article: "With a reserved instance (you pay for a whole year in advance) the price is $325 or $27/month. But that doesn't include Data Transfer, EBS, Elastic IP or S3 costs. Got that info from https://aws.amazon.com/ec2/#pricing https://aws.amazon.com/ec2/#pricing"
- fireteller 18y agoHe computed incorrectly. He didn't include the usage, with the reservation cost. A reduced usage still applies. The correct price is... h = hours in a year = 8765 ($325+($0.03 * h))/12 = $49.00/month The best deal is a 3 year block ($500+($0.03 * h * 3))/36 = $35.80/month
