Microsoft is at last onto something here: Compete on price.
The very thing that makes a mac such a stable machine, namely the fact that they control the hardware and the software is also why they're so expensive because it's essentially a monopoly.
A PC, on the other hand, is an ecosystem of suppliers, all driving down the price of the final product.
