I couldn't sleep at night knowing I used my engineering degree to enable global spying and summary executions of 'militant safehouses' full of kids, or enabling western friendly dictatorships like Yemen and Bahrain by helping them crush dissidents. It's like when I hear about Physicists who no doubt got into the field to explore the universe and everything in it then ended up making audio weapons for the military for the sole reason of dispersing protests.

It's great that you wouldn't. But it's really very arrogant to assume that there exists no reasonable moral system that would allow an engineer to participate in drone development or audio weapons.
