So basically the original comment was correct, you agree it was correct, but you're deliberately misunderstanding it because they didn't hedge their.claim rigorously enough for your agenda.
You should consider reviewing the HN comment guidelines.
- nonethewiser 6d agoThe original comment was not correct. The federal government has not shrunk. Further comments revealed that they conflated federal government with federal workforce which is clearly false. Are executive orders part have the federal government? Has that gone up? Is federal spending part of the federal government? Has that gone up?
- margalabargala 6d agoExactly, you understand that they used "federal government" to mean "federal workforce", yet for some reason are trying to start a fight about it. Consider learning some communication skills.
