He shrunk the federal workforce by 15% in his first year in office. This has never happened before. Both the white house and their opponents agree on these numbers, so not sure why you wouldn't.

  Because the federal government’s footprint is not it’s workforce. Domain of influence, spending, etc. Has the spending increased? Do we have more programs? Have more string been attached to state funding? Are there more executive orders?

      The original comment was not correct. The federal government has not shrunk. Further comments revealed that they conflated federal government with federal workforce which is clearly false. Are executive orders part have the federal government? Has that gone up? Is federal spending part of the federal government? Has that gone up?
