- nunodonato 8d agoMosaic :P
- cecexacjrgec 8d agoMe too. Too bad I had to abandon it because Mozilla seem more focused on making AI-nonsense than a browser nowadays. No, Firefox, you don’t need AI features. You do need a better UI. You do need smoother scrolling. You do need privacy focus (which automatically means you do not need AI features). You do need to feel like you belong on the platform you’re installed on and not wish everything were Linux. You do need better designers that understand UX is not just “add controls everywhere”.
- josephg 7d agoHuh? What ai features? Firefox seems largely the same as it did a few years ago. I’m not doubting they added some ai junk somewhere. But whatever they did seems very easy to ignore.
- olyjohn 7d agoIts just an excuse people use to keep using thier beloved shiny brand.
- takeda 7d agoI'm assuming you use Lynx now then? Because I don't think you would be using Chrome or its clone if that's where you draw the line?
- vsviridov 6d agoI remember using lynx at school, since they only let A+ level students use the X11 GUI. And then later on using elinks which was a bit more featureful on my own servers...
- epihelix 7d agoOh, those great days when the competition was NCSA Mosaic. A simpler, better time. I miss it :(
