That caught my eye too. I have a Thinkbook Yoga running GNOME and auto rotate has worked as expected for years, with a toggle in the quick settings for rotation lock.
I think this change is just adding the toggle to the standalone settings app.
- tacomagick 16d agoReally? I have been struggling to get mine to work on my Asus laptop. I guess I have a driver problem more than anything. Thanks for letting me know!
- ksymph 16d agoFor what it's worth, rotation is locked and the auto-rotate setting doesn't show until the keyboard is flipped back -- so if you're going to be troubleshooting, I'd look into whatever enables 'tablet mode' rather than accelerometer stuff specifically.
