- riffraff 10d agoForgive the ignorant question, what made CORBA terribile? I only used it during university and it seemed overengineered but it mostly worked, and I vaguely recall IDL to be nice. I'm guessing interop was actually atrocious?

- imtringued 10d agoCORBA had the concept of distributed objects which is a terrible idea in practice.
- Slartie 10d agoAlso BPMN, CORBA and UPOS/JavaPOS. It's funny that you can legitimately just add " - OMG!" in the slang acronym meaning after any of its creations' names.
- Telemakhos 10d agoThey also merged the concepts of Working Group and Task Force into an Open Management Group Working Task Force, or OMG/WTF.
