EV batteries last longer than drivers feared
- rpaik 1mo agoBacks up the confidence that EV manufacturers have with their warranties. I have a '22 Kia EV6 (pretty much the same car as Hyundai Ioniq 5) and their battery warranty is 10 years or 100k miles.
- ProllyInfamous 1mo agoMy Toyota's battery warranty is 10 years, 150k miles. I'm about 2/3rds there, and Mr.Camry still purrs along powerfully, sipping gasolina.
- kotaKat 1mo agoAnd even funnier, we're now seeing the EV battery aftermarket breathing a hell of a lot more life into some older vehicles. https://vivnevs.com/ https://vivnevs.com/ Wanna see a 2012 Leaf doing over 250+ miles on a charge? Absolutely amazing to see we have the aftermarket springing to life and giving us some quite phoenix-esque options to revive older yet still useful EVs. https://mynissanleaf.com/threads/my-10-year-old-leaf-30-kwh-%E2%86%92-62-kwh-vivne-battery-%E2%80%94-400-km-real-world-range.39395/ https://mynissanleaf.com/threads/my-10-year-old-leaf-30-kwh-...
