GOP issues stark warning to AI companies
- downrightmike 1mo agoMore bribes required
- theossuary 1mo agoGuess Trump is already looking for donations for his next inauguration
- chollida1 1mo agoWell he can't run again, so he won't be having another inauguration.
- behole 1mo agoGod willing. Lets not forget what what he and his cultist did last time he was meant to peacefully transfer power. Each time I think "No WAY they can do that!" Orange rocks up and pulls the rug on a meme coin.
- mitxela 1mo agoWhat stops him? A piece of paper in a museum is not stopping him. If he dies of old age that will probably stop him, but maybe not even that.
- 3stacks 1mo ago"John Marshall has made his decision; now let him enforce it!" TBF I think most people in power are very comfortable with the profitable arrangement they have, so I don't see many/any of them going along with a revolutionary plan (unless they would end up in prison otherwise). Is it really worth the hassle if you can just stay in office and end up a multi-millionaire via inside trading? Let the populous deal with the real world
- maboma 1mo agoIf they try it everyone would get behind Obama running again and they def won't risk a black man getting away with it
- mitxela 1mo agoThey'd invent a reason they works for Obama but not for trump
- etchalon 1mo agoWeird how, in our representative republic, one of our major parties has decided a better strategy than listening to the public is to demand money and assistance from companies less those companies be forced to stop doing things the public would rather those companies not do.
- orthogonal_cube 1mo agoI really wish we could experience at least a single year where our representatives worked to cover the needs of citizens in a collaborative, non-partisan manner rather than focusing on corporate interests and political theatre filled with slander and misinformation.
- bediger4000 1mo agoWhat!?! And leave show business?
- abirch 1mo agoUnfortunately in the USA, most of the house of representative districts are not competitive and an incumbent is more likely to lose in a primary than in the general. Working to do something with the other side seems to be unpopular these days.
- orthogonal_cube 1mo agoIt’s career-suicide to do so in nearly all cases. If your constituents disapprove then you can kiss re-election goodbye. If your party disagrees then you can kiss funding goodbye.
- tialaramex 1mo ago> our representative republic Pfft, did you buy it? No? Then it's not yours That "representative republic" belongs to a handful of ultra-wealthy people. I expect the Founding Fathers, being almost all rich old white men, would have approved. The French know how to actually build a republic, this is their fifth attempt so they're getting pretty good at it. Maybe ask them to help with the next one.
- behole 1mo agoThe open corruption from this administration is disgusting.
- fluidcruft 1mo ago[dead]
