Memo to Ridley Scott: no one needs more Alien: Covenant movies
- zeristor 1mo agoI’m still waiting for the film of Haldeman’s Forever War Ridley Scott was going to do
- mark_l_watson 1mo agothat would be incredible, Forever War was a great book re: Ridley Scott making another Alien franchise movie: if he is doing it because he really wants to do the movie then that is great; if he is doing it for business reasons to make money, that is not so great
- jdlshore 1mo agoI loved Forever War, but I don’t think it would make a great film. It needs space to breathe. A 8-hour limited series, on the other hand…
- alexnewman 1mo agoThe issue is, these stories are kinda … He’s not making them up from scratch he’s interpreting
- lofaszvanitt 1mo agoIt's a money manking franchise. It could be good, since Prometheus was quite ok. Although Covenant was trashy. Alien and Aliens were good. Alien 3 and Resurrection was abysmal and the Alien Earth seies had 2 good episodes. The rest were meh.
- mark_l_watson 1mo agoI liked Prometheus so much that I purchased the movie.
- derwiki 1mo agoThe first was classic, but Prometheus is my favorite.
- diegolas 1mo agoi think alien 3 is better than aliens
- Cypher 1mo agoi love those ones
- pikuseru 1mo agoI can’t wait for the Alien / Blade Runner crossover prequel where we find out Tyrell was Weyland’s long lost Dad. And the black goop in Prometheus is actually made from Midi-Chlorians.
- hyperhello 1mo agoI never made that bad sequel connection before but you’re right. Both movies explain the unexplained with more unexplainable goops.
- e40 1mo agoHard disagree. Even though both movies had their issues, there is a lot of interesting directions the 3rd movie could go.
