- giancarlostoro 1mo agoEspecially if you buy a Ubuntu laptop ;)
- Retr0id 1mo agoI think they should note that on the page, because it makes it look like Dell is a bad vendor but in practice they're one of the better ones, in this aspect.
- yndoendo 1mo agoMy issue with DELL is that they support the Genocide of Gaza and profit from the killing of innocent children.
- hmokiguess 1mo agoThat's not true for all of Dell, I just tried their online store in other countries and it is bundling Windows licenses there. Here's a few examples: - https://www.dell.com/pt-br/shop/notebooks-dell/notebook-dell-pro-16/spd/dell-pro-pc16255-laptop/cto05_pc16255_bccx2?redirectTo=SOC https://www.dell.com/pt-br/shop/notebooks-dell/notebook-dell... - https://www.dell.com/it-it/shop/notebook-dell/nuovo-notebook-xps-13/spd/xps13dx13260laptop/cndx1326001cc#customization-anchor https://www.dell.com/it-it/shop/notebook-dell/nuovo-notebook...
- loloquwowndueo 1mo agoYou can but the price is the same.
- tosti 1mo agoThat's true, I called them and their explanation was that the hardware and software bundle is sold as a package deal. I ended up not buying their computer.
- fwipsy 1mo agoI applaud Dell for offering this as an option, and for getting Ubuntu certification even on many devices which don't offer it. However, in practice it's not worth much because the standard configurations are discounted, while custom configurations with Ubuntu are not. For example, in this configuration Ubuntu is listed as $140 more than Windows. If you click the info icon, it's because it's $60 cheaper but loses you a $200 discount: https://www.dell.com/en-us/shop/dell-laptops/new-xps-14-laptop/spd/xps-da14260-laptop/useda14260hbtsjcmj#customization-anchor https://www.dell.com/en-us/shop/dell-laptops/new-xps-14-lapt...
