I always took weird to mean "not easily digestible," not necessarily harmful. Like, if the guy is weird, processing his actions is hard, but I'm never threatened by him.
- GMoromisato 2mo agoI meant that weird is different, and different is unaligned. If I have a team and each team member is pushing in a different direction, then we're going to get outcompeted by an aligned team. Of course, often weird/different is how you get the breakthroughs and innovations. I'm not trying to stamp out weird. I just don't think everyone can be or should be weird (which is the implication of the OP). But everyone can be a change agent and help to change the present into the future.
